For the third year, Amazon is having an October Prime Day sale! It’s called Prime Big Deals Days and it starts today (10/08/24) and ends tomorrow. As always they have deep discounts on home decor, organizers, and kitchen gadgets, but they’re also discounting a lot of items that are perfect for holiday gifting. It’s the perfect time to knock out a chunk of your holiday shopping early and save money while doing it!
I’ve spent hours and hours combing through their sale items and am sharing all of my favorites including deals on home decor, holiday prep, and gifts. Retainer Cleaners

Cordless Vacuums
You guys know I’m a die-hard cordless vacuum lover so if getting one is on your Prime Day checklist, I’m sharing my recommendations. ALL of these vacuums are great vacuums – which was is the best for you depends on your budget and the features you care about.
If you have a large budget & want all the bells & whistles:
If I were to buy a cordless vacuum today and had a large budget for it, I’d buy the Dyson v15 Detect vacuum but… DON’T get it on Amazon. The best deal on it right now is directly through Dyson {HERE} instead. It’s one of their most recent models with a new feature of a laser that reveals dirt you can’t normally see and I have and LOVE it!
It’s super powerful and has a good run time. Like all Dyson cordless vacs, it can also be converted into a handvac with an attachment swap for cleaning stairs, upholstered pieces, crevices and more:
If you want a budget-friendly cordless vacuum that still works great:
If you want a cordless vacuum that’s budget-friendly, {this cordless Shark vacuum} is my Prime Day sale pick. Both of my daughters have cordless Sharks and they’re really great vacuums for the price! And one of the advantages of Sharks over Dysons is that the battery is removable for charging which is really nice if you don’t have an outlet near where you store your vacuum. You can also save a little more with {this cordless Shark vacuum} but the trade-off is a shorter run time.
What shouldn’t you buy? A Dyson v8. It’s tempting because the price is so good but there’s a reason for that. It’s an old model with MUCH less suction than current models and less battery life. I bought one during the short period we were using this house as a second home and was so ready to get rid of it once we moved.
Vegetable Chopper
As we head into the holidays with a lot of big family meals, you’ll definitely want to snag {this vegetable chopper} that’s a Prime Day deal! For me, the worst thing about cooking is all of the chopping and cutting prep work and this chopper makes that SO much easier! Here’s an in-action shot of dicing an onion – you just insert the dicing blade, put your veggie on top and push it down. The diced veggies go neatly into the storage container under the dicer:

Popular Pillows
I also reviewed all of the Prime Day deals on pillows! {This pair of pillows} is on Prime Day deal PLUS it currently has a clickable coupon that them at a great price! They’re consistently rated as a bestseller on Amazon because they’re basically the Goldilocks of pillows – not too hard but not too soft and not too flat but not too fluffy. They’re especially well suited for guest bedrooms so are great to stock-up on before the holiday season!
If you’re looking for super high quality pillows (that come with a higher price tag), I I’ve had great luck with Casper pillows. They rarely go on sale for under $100 for a pair but you can grab them now on Prime Day deal {HERE}.
BedSure Cotton Blanket
I have a few of {these 100% cotton blankets} and have been really happy with it! The one on our bed has held up well to Cricket’s nightly “nesting” (digging into the sheets at bedtime). I also like the waffle weave nature of it (instead of a traditional weave) because her little hairs don’t get stuck in it.
Reusable Grocery Shopping Bags With Bottle Holders

I’ve used this carpet cleaner for a few years now for spills and stains on carpet and upholstery. Unlike when you use a carpet cleaning spray & rag, I feel like this Bissell cleaner removes all of the stain instead of just what you can get up by blotting with a rag. When you use it, the water gets SO gross so you know it’s working!

I’ve been using {these Viviscal hair growth supplements} for over a year now because my hair has thinned a lot over the past several years. 3. Bioderma Atoderm Cleansing Oil {HERE} – I have dry skin and have found that this full body cleanser locks in moisture and keeps my skin from drying out. I started using it about two years ago and am a complete convert!
4. L’Oreal Paris Makeup Voluminous Lash Primer {HERE} – After trying every mascara under the sun, I realized it’s really the primer that gets you those super long lashes! It makes SUCH a difference! And you can’t beat the price!
5. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask {HERE} is another beauty product I swear by! It’s simply an intensely hydrating lip balm that I use every night before I go to bed and it keeps my lips from ever getting dry. While it’s pricey, a little tub of it lasts about a year. Several of you have started using it and love it too!
6. Color WOW’s Root Cover-Up {HERE} – This helps blend your roots in when you’re a little overdue for color or highlights, and helps blend in any stray grays too 😉. I have thinning hair and use it on my part line too (which helps a lot in disguising that).
7. Anastasia Brow Wiz {HERE} is my go-to brow pencil (I use medium brown). I buy several during Prime Day because it’s typically the lowest price of the year!
8. Viviscal Hair Growth Supplements {HERE} are great for strengthening hair and nails (and a must-have if you’re like me and have thinning hair). I initially used Nutrafol but it upset my stomach while Viviscal doesn’t at all!

My Clothes Steamer
If you didn’t snag my clothes steamer found {HERE} on Prime Day deal for the last event, it’s on sale again! Not only do I use it several times a week to get wrinkles out of clothes (I rarely use my ironing board anymore),
but it also works like a champ for wrinkles in bedding and also for removing wallpaper! I’ve tried other steamers but keep going back to this one because (1) it puts out a ton of steam, (2) the compartment you put the water in doesn’t need to cool down before you refill it, (3) it has a nice long cord, and (4) I like that it has a trigger to control the steam (a lot of steamers don’t).
Samsung Frame TV
We hung a Samsung frame TV over our fireplace and we absolutely love it! It’s as thin as a picture frame and you can add your own art to the screen (I buy most of mine inexpensively on Etsy).
You can find it on BIG sale in the 55″ size for Amazon Prime Day {here} with a white bezel (frame) and {here} with a teak bezel (which is what we have). Unfortunately they don’t have on on deal pricing in the larger sizes (mine is the 65″) but other stores are running competing sales and the best deal on a 65″ that I found is at Best Buy {here} and on a 75″ Frame TV is {here}.

Cleaning Tablets
Now’s a great time to stock up on cleaning tablets on Prime Big Deal including {these coffee maker cleaning tablets}, {these dishwasher cleaning tablets}, {these garbage disposal cleaning tablets} (love the smell of these!), and {these washing machine cleaning tablets}. {This mold stain remover gel} for washing machine and dishwasher seals is also a great deal today.

Zippered Moving/Storage Bags
I swear by VENO bags for moving and storage and their newer bags that are clear are on Prime Day Deal in a 2-pack {here} and in an 8-pack {here}! These are a must have for college move-ins (or outs) and for storing things in a way that they’re easy to carry and transport. They’re easier than using boxes and I love that they take up hardly any storage space when not in use.

I have and love {this hanging toiletry bag} that comes in two sizes (I have the medium size which is big enough for everything I travel with but if you bring a lot of full size toiletries you may want to get the large). It fits a TON and it’s nice to be able to hang this bag up in hotel bathrooms where everything is accessible and you’re not taking up the limited counterspace. Definitely a great gift for a traveler!
I bought {this luggage set} four years ago and it’s been a great purchase! It’s hard sided so holds up really well during travel, is lightweight, and the three sizes all nest inside one another for easy storage.
